Naomi Milgrom is recognised as one of Australia’s most outstanding business leaders and mentors for her achievements as Executive Chair and CEO of Australia’s largest speciality women’s fashion retailer, the Sussan Group – comprising Sussan, Suzanne Grae and Sportsgirl. She was awarded an AO in 2010 for distinguished services in a wide range of fields. One of Australia’s top business entrepreneurs, Ms Milgrom has combined business leadership with leadership in the arts, sciences and women’s health, as Chair of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), Former Chair of the Melbourne Fashion Festival, and director of the Howard Florey Institute. Ms Milgrom was the first woman to deliver the Batman Oration on Australia Day 2006. The Centenary of Federation Medal was awarded to Ms Milgrom for her outstanding contribution to business and the fashion industry. In 2011 Ms Milgrom was the first woman to receive an Honorary Doctorate in Business from RMIT.
Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston AC, AFC (Ret’d) was announced as Chair of the Anzac Centenary Advisory Board in 2011 shortly after his retirement from 41 years service in the Australian Defence Force. Mr Houston was the Chief of the Defence Force from 2005 until 2011. Prior to that he was Chief of Air Force for four years. Mr Houston is also Chair of Airservices Australia and Chair of the Council for the Order of Australia. He is a Board Member of the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
Judge Rauf Soulio was appointed to the District Court of South Australia in 2006. He is also Chair of the Australian Multicultural Council, and was Deputy Chair of the Australian Multicultural Advisory Council until its completion in June 2011. Judge Soulio is the President of the Football Federation of South Australia and the current Chair of the Migrant Resource Centre of South Australia. He is on the Judging Panel of the Governor’s Multicultural Awards program and Chair of State Government Sporting Advisory Committees. In 2003, he was appointed as Honorary Consul-General for Albania in Australia.
Dr Helen Szoke, as of January 2013, is the CEO of Oxfam Australia. Dr Helen Szoke was previously appointed as Australia’s full time Race Discrimination Commissioner, serving for 2 years. Dr Szoke was the Commissioner with the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and worked with the Commission from 2004 until August 2011. She is currently Co-Chair of Play by the Rules, a Board Member of Multicultural Arts Victoria and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Centre for International Mental Health, School of Population Health University of Melbourne.Helen has previously held positions relating to management, community development, organizational development and regulation in the education and health sectors. In 2011, Helen was awarded the Law Institute of Victoria Paul Baker Award for contribution to Human Rights.
Dr Hass Dellal OAM is Executive Director of the Australian Multicultural Foundation. Dr Dellal has considerable experience in multicultural affairs and sits on several boards, including the National Centre of Excellence for Islamic Studies Consultative Committee; the International Steering Committee, the International Metropolis Project (Canada); Deputy Chair of the Victoria Police Multifaith Council; and Chair of the Centre for Multicultural Youth. He is Deputy Chair of the SBS Board and was a member of the Australian Multicultural Advisory Council until June 2011.
